In 2013, we had the pleasure of working with AnT Sculpture to craft the dalle de verre eyes for their 54 foot long, dragonfly playground. The Dragonfly is a part of the Abernathy Greenway’s Playable Art Park in Sandy Springs, GA, and opened in 2014.

Dalle de verre differs from traditional stained glass in that it is set into a epoxy-based matrix rather than bound with lead came. The glass itself is also much thicker than traditional stained glass windows and is shaped, in this case, by hammer. This process allows for greater textural interest and deeper colors.
