Daughters of the American Revolution, Atlanta, GA
The Atlanta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), a women’s charity organization, was headquatered in the Cragie House, a historic property adjacent Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The historic property had several great stained glass windows with painted illustrations depicting events from the American Revolution, as well as a large panel displaying the D.A.R. crest.
After the D.A.R. vacated the property in the nineties, the windows were placed in temporary storage. In 2014, The D.A.R. commissioned Studio Glass Company to refurbish the stained glass for permanent installation in Constitution Hall, Washington D.C., at the national headquaters of the D.A.R.
We built custom display frames, back lit by innovative L.E.D. panels to display and illuminate the glasswork. The large light-boxes were wall mounted in the interior of the building for public display.
